Coast Division's research activities
The Coast Division draws up technological criteria for coastal conservation, and conducts research on coastal conservation for protecting people's lives from such dangers as storm surges, tidal waves, tsunami, and coastal erosion, as well as on coast management in consideration of social and natural environments.
The division also provides technological support to technological research themes in terms of investigation, planning, designing, work execution, and management of coasts all around the nation.
V-360 is the latest video image library with a 360-degree view, controlled using a mouse to turn around freely as if actually on the spot.
Quicktime5 plug-in is required (the images can also be displayed using a JAVA viewer).
